EISENHOWER’S AMERICA with Dr. Gary Hylander

Dwight D. Eisenhower, Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces, emerged from World War Two as a national hero.  As president, he balanced the budget, settled the Korean War and sent federal troops to Little Rock Arkansas to protect black students.  In his farewell address, he warned the nation against the looming threatof the "military-industrial military complex." Gary L. Hylander, PhD, is presently an adjunct professor of history and education at Framingham State University and a program supervisor of student teachers at Boston University.
