Rembrant Image Ship

Please join us in the Library's Reading Room for our second Fireside Chat without the Fire event on Friday evening, February 6, at 6:00PM

Our guest speaker is Anthony Amore! He is an art-theft expert, investigator, and security practitioner. Presently, he is Director of Security and Chief Investigator at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, where he is charged with the ongoing efforts to recover thirteen works of art stolen from the museum on March 18, 1990.

His book, The Rembrandt Heist, is a tale of unbelievable friendship, loyalty, criminal genius, and a staggeringly audacious plot to steal one of the world's most valuable paintings - and return it.  It was considered one of Smithsonian Magazine's Ten Best History Books of 2025.

This program has been generously funded by the Friends of the Richards Memorial Library.
