Summer Reading 2024: Level Up At Your Library
Ages 3-entering 9th grade
Registration: June 23-July 31
Redemption: July 1-August 16
We have paired up with the BOSTON BRUINS once again to encourage reading throughout the summer! This year children ages 3 through entering ninth grade will earn a lanyard with buttons, plus raffle tickets and a book.
Children ages 3-entering ninth grade will receive a registration bag with a timed-reading log and Bruins materials. The child should fill in a circle for every 15 minutes of reading (or listening to reading). Once the child has filled in 6 circles, they can bring the log to the librarian for a free lanyarfd and choice of button . They will then receive more buttons for each additional 6 circles. Once the log is completed (15 hours total of reading), they will select a free book and receive a Bruins certificate AND a raffle ticket for a fun prize. Prizes include Showcase Cinemas tickets, a North Bowl pizza and bowling package, An Unlikely Story gift card and tote bag, Treetop Adventure pass, Altitude passes, Launch pases, and more. *Your child can request a second log at that time, if wanted. *Logs must be redeemed by August 16.
Join us throughout the summer for fun activities like The Poop Museum, an animal show visit, Halloween in July, life-sized Candy Land, STEAM, and so much more! See our events tab for more information.
*Thank you to the following businesses and organizations for generously donating raffle prizes and incentives: The Boston Bruins, Showcase Cinemas, Altitude Trampoline Park, Treetop Adventures, North Bowl Lanes, An Unlikely Story, The Friends of The Richards Memorial Library, Launch Trampoline Park, Level 99, and the USS Constitution Museum.
