Caution tape (Free to Read event)

October is Banned Books Month, and this feels like a wonderful time to celebrate everyone's freedom to read. Join Representative Adam Scanlon and the Library for an afternoon and evening of activities highlighting the Commonwealth's enactment of An Act Regarding Free Expression, signed into law in August by Governor Healey.

The day will include:

2:30-4:00 and 4:30-6:00: Opportunities to view the documentary Banned Together
4:00-6:00; A bookmaking key chain activity for young people.
6:30-7:30: An evening panel featuring Rep. Scanlon, North Attleboro teacher Kristin Pickering, and MBLC Commissioner Debby Conrad, moderated by local poet and voracious library user Dave Vecchioli.

There is no registration required for this event. Feel free to weave in and out of the day as you please!
