Welcome to the 2026 summer reading program at the Richards Memorial Library:
Plant A Seed, Read!

This year's program is open to children ages 3-17 and runs from June 15 to August 8.
Visit the children's room beginning June 15 to register and receive your reading log. Children ages 3-9 will also receive a goody bag.
Beginning June 29, return to the library as you progress through the log to receive small prizes and to vote on your favorite adopted Roger Williams Zoo animal: sloth or red panda.
Once you have finished your log*, you will also receive a Bruins reading certificate, a raffle ticket for one of our big prizes, and a free Palagi lemonade at our special summer reading wrap-up on August 8. *Logs must be redeemed by August 8.
Some of our raffle prizes include Kindle Fires, passes to Treetop Adventures, Launch, Level 99, Showcase Cinemas, and Roger Williams Zoo, gift cards to An Unlikely Story and Dairy Queen, a microscope, and sloth and red panda stuffed animals.
